About Sheepadoodles
Sheepadoodles are a cross breed between an Old English Sheepdog and a Poodle. They have a strong constitution and an intelligent, lively expression. The Sheepadoodle is a loving and faithful dog. They are active and nimble. They do not like loneliness. It is not mentally healthy for this breed to be left alone or crated for long periods of time with no interaction. The Sheepadoodle gets along well both with teenagers and young children within the family.
This breed can be suspicious of strangers and will therefore warn their owners about unexpected visitors or strange sounds. They have a protective nature due to the Old English Sheepdog being bred to protect flocks of sheep. They will stay by your side continuously and may ward off any unfamiliar animal or human.
We breed F1b Mini Sheepadoodles. This is a cross between an F1 Sheepadoodle and a Toy Poodle.
They have a very soft, plush, fluffy coat. Some puppies will have a very straight coat, while others may have a wavy to curly coat. You may find some fuzz in your brush when grooming them, but they are very minimal to non shedders.
Most Sheepadoodles are born Black and White. Some may fade to gray over time like the Old English Sheepdog, and some may keep their deep black coloring. Sometimes you can tell which puppies will fade to gray if they have graying around the eyes at a young age. We are more then happy to assist you in your selection when looking for a specific coloring.
